Paul Gossett Paul Gossett

President of Shaw’s Supermarkets and Star Market

Paul Gossett has an extensive grocery retailing career that spans more than thirty-five years in the industry. Paul started with Albertsons Inc. in 1977 and has held positions of successive responsibility including Vice President of Marketing. In 2001, he served as Vice President of Marketing at ACME before moving on to Winn Dixie in 2002 where he held various operations roles. Paul also worked at Nash Finch where he was Senior Director of Merchandising. Paul joined the Shaw’s & Star Market team in March of 2013 following Supervalu’s sale of the stores to New Albertson’s Inc. He most recently served as Vice President, Marketing and Merchandising of the Southern Division of Albertsons Companies. Paul was named the Division President in April of 2016.

General Manager of Star Market

John is the General Manager of Star Market. His long and dedicated career with Star Market began in 1986 as a bagger at the Porter Square store. John progressed through store operations and became a Store Director in 1995. He managed several high profile store locations and was promoted to the role of District Manager in 2013. Before becoming the General Manager, John was the Director of Sales and Merchandising for Star Market. John received his BS in Business Administration / Studies from SNHU/Bentley College.

Leeann Dias Leeann Dias

Director of Marketing

Leeann began her career with Star Market in 1981 as a Management Trainee. She worked in store operations for ten years and then was appointed as the Service Division Manager for the Rhode Island Division at Star Market. Her vast career also includes working in the following departments: Human Resources, Merchandising and Marketing. In February of 2016, she moved back to Star Market as the Director of Marketing. Leeann received her BA from Providence College.

 Cindy Garnett Cindy Garnett

Vice President, Human Resources and Labor Relations

Cindy started her career with Shaw’s & Star Market 35 years ago as a bagger and worked in  the stores for several years before entering the Human Resources department  as an Employee Benefits Administrator. Cindy has held several leadership roles with Shaw’s including Associate Relations Manager, Manager of Store Management Training, Market Area Human Resources Director, and Vice President of Human Resources prior to being named Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations. Cindy has a BA in Human Resources Management from Southeastern Massachusetts University and a MBA from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
